Topic - Generational Recruitment Roundtable
This session explores how volunteer engagement is shaped by the diverse strengths, motivations, and expectations of different generations—from Traditionalists and Baby Boomers to Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z. After reviewing key generational patterns and debunking common stereotypes, we will discuss how recruitment messages, communication styles, feedback preferences, training approaches, and role design can be tailored to meet volunteers where they are. Through guided conversation, participants will examine practical strategies for building inclusive, co-generational volunteer teams that honor individual preferences, leverage intergenerational strengths, and create a volunteer culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
