VIRTUAL GBT Observer Training Workshop

The Green Bank Observatory will host a virtual Green Bank Telescope (GBT) Observer Training workshop from November 4-7.

The GBT Observer Training Workshop will provide the essential skills and knowledge needed to use the GBT and maximize its scientific output. It is intended for experienced astronomers who need to learn the specifics of observing with the GBT.

This will be a FULLY REMOTE training workshop, meant primarily for people who will observe with the GBT in the near future. No attendees will visit Green Bank in person for the workshop.

Application deadline: October 10. Limited spaces available; priority given to projects beginning this fall.

These workshops are typically held twice a year, and the workshops will be held entirely virtually for the near future. The next GBT Training Workshop beyond November 2025 will be held in Spring 2026.
