From floating peatlands to beaver ponds, wetlands are important reservoirs of water as well as essential habitat for myriad plants and animals. Join Michael Runtz for a lavishly illustrated presentation on wetlands and the rich biodiversity they support, including a special focus on Beavers as wetland engineers.

We are fortunate indeed to be able to host Michael, a much sought-after speaker and a top-notch nature photographer. He is a highly respected naturalist and university educator. He hosted the TV series Wild by Nature, has written natural history books and numerous newspaper and magazine articles. His highly visual Natural History courses continue to attract record enrolments at Carleton University.
