If you happen to see Ralph before the party, please pretend you’re on your way to an urgent appointment like “washing your hair” or “alphabetising your soup cans.”
Do not, under any circumstances, let on that there’s a party—even if he gives you his most suspicious look (which is quite suspicious).
The real surprise will be if more than the barmaid and the neighbour’s cat appear. Bring your best poker face, your wildest excuse, and a sense of adventure! Remember:
If anyone asks, you’ve never heard of this party, you don’t know Ralph, and you might just be lost on the way to the post office.
