The Salt Apothecary: Folklore and Craft of Culinary and Healing Salts

Salt has travelled through time as treasure and talisman — preserving food, purifying spaces, and protecting hearts.

In this hands-on, scent-rich workshop, we’ll explore the forgotten beauty and ancient power of salt. From medieval kitchens to magical sachets, you’ll blend your own salt-based creations while discovering the rich lore that surrounds this everyday alchemical mineral.

🧂 What We’ll Explore:

• Salt’s role in preservation, healing, and protection across cultures and centuries
• Old salt trade stories, myths, and curious superstitions — from spilled salt to circles of safety
• A guided experience in Salt Divination (Halomancy) — a quiet, contemplative way of reading the patterns left by salt on dark cloth

🌿 What You’ll Create & Take Home:

• 🍽️ A culinary salt blend (e.g., citrus & thyme or garlic & rosemary)
• 🛁 A luxurious bath salt infusion with flowers & oils
• 🌞 An energising salt scrub
• 🧿 A protective salt sachet crafted with herbs, charms & intention

Complete 3 or more workshops in the Apothecary Series and receive a special Master Apothecary Keepsake:

How it Works:
1. Attend 3 or more workshops from the Apothecary series
2. Geanina, The Thyme Keeper, will carefully maintain a Master Apothecary Tracker, recording your completed workshops and creations.
3. Celebrate your journey at the Master Apothecary Recognition Event at the end of 2025. Join us for a festive gathering to showcase your creations, share stories, and receive your Master Apothecary certificate and keepsake!
