This group exhibition for contemporary jewellery at Plattform Schmuckkunst, will highlight an international spectrum of traditions,both in a general and a personal context.
The term ‚strange‘ can be interpreted in a broad sense, encompassing not only what is foreign or unsettling, but also what is quirky, curious, extraordinary, or unconventional – depending on the viewer’s perspective. What may be considered normal to some can appear new, fascinating, frightening, or off-putting to others. Through the individual approaches and social contextualisations of the artists, a diverse collection of works will be presented, offering personal insights and perspectives on the perception of traditions, customs, or rituals.

Diese Gruppenausstellung für zeitgenössischen Schmuck in der Plattform Schmuckkunst beleuchtet ein internationales Spektrum an Traditionen, sowohl in einem allgemeinen als auch in einem persönlichen Kontext.
Der Begriff „seltsam“ kann im weitesten Sinne interpretiert werden und umfasst nicht nur das Fremde oder Beunruhigende, sondern auch das Skurrile, Kurios, Außergewöhnliche oder Unkonventionelle – je nach Perspektive des Betrachters. Was für manche als normal gilt, kann für andere neu, faszinierend, beängstigend oder abstoßend wirken. Durch die individuellen Ansätze und sozialen Kontextualisierungen der Künstler wird eine vielfältige Sammlung von Werken präsentiert, die persönliche Einblicke und Perspektiven auf die Wahrnehmung von Traditionen, Bräuchen oder Ritualen bietet.
