Learn to Pile Burn Safely 🔥
Join us on Sunday, February 7, 10 am – 2:00 pm at Round Mountain Firewise Community (✨exact location provided on registration).
In this FREE, hands-on workshop, learn how to build and burn a simple burn pile safely. Burning is a great way to reduce fuels, especially dead or old branches and small logs—particularly if you have a lot of ladder fuels to remove and don’t have easy access
to green waste removal.
➡️ The best way to build and burn a pile so that it burns fast and clean, with less smoke
➡️ How to make it easier on yourself with “feeder piles”
➡️ When permits are required, what kinds are needed, and the consequences of burning without one
➡️ How to burn safely and ensure your pile does not escape
Led by Dario Davidson, Wildfire-Ready Coalition lead forester volunteer, and Haley Cooperguard from the Resource Conservation District.
