NATIVE TREE AND SHRUB PROPAGATION

Do you love trees? Did you know that white oaks germinate differently from red oaks? If this piques your interest, then join certified arborist, Sean Barnes, in a lively discussion and hands-on workshop about how to start native trees from seeds and cuttings. He’ll share some tips and growing information from 25 plus years of working with trees. Learn the techniques for collecting and storing wild seeds and the simple tricks to encourage those seeds to germinate successfully. Learn interesting facts about trees and plant biology along the way. Each participant will go home with a cutting of their own to grow on and plant.

Meet at Shelter 4. In case of inclement weather we will meet at the James Bradley Center.
