Adoption and Mental Health Go Hand in Hand. Who Knew?

Local author Andy Wallis is inviting the community to a special evening at The Reading Room on Wednesday, 24 September, to explore the important connection between adoption and mental health. The free event, titled “Adoption and Mental Health Go Hand in Hand. Who Knew?”, will also mark the launch of Andy’s book, Who’s Wally?.

Who’s Wally? is a personal and heartfelt exploration of the adoption experience and its impact on mental wellbeing. Andy hopes the book and the event will help break down stigma, foster understanding, and provide support to adoptees, adoptive families, and anyone interested in mental health.

The evening promises more than a book launch. Visitors can expect an engaging discussion on the challenges and triumphs of adoption, the importance of mental health awareness, and the power of community support.
