Beginner Basics Class at Calliope Quilts

Brand new to sewing? This class is designed just for you! We’ll start right at the very beginning... no experience necessary!

We'll guide you through the essential skills every quilter or sewist needs. Through hands-on practice, you’ll gain the confidence to take on your first sewing project without feeling overwhelmed. We’ll work on small, simple exercises so you can focus on getting comfortable with your tools and techniques.

You’ll Learn:

✨ Sewing machine basics: threading, bobbins, tension, and troubleshooting
✨ Rotary cutting safety and accuracy
✨ How to sew a straight line
