The Inaugural TLP Inter-Cohort Throwdown

Every TLP cohort claims they’re the best, and now it’s time to prove it!

This year’s friendly competition is about more than bragging rights. Michigan’s special education system is $343 million underfunded, leaving nearly 1 in 7 students without the support they need. The Invest In MI Kids ballot initiative is our chance to change that, bringing equitable, reliable funding to schools across the state.

Each TLP cohort will compete to see who can collect 500 signatures first to help get Invest in MI Kids on the 2026 ballot. With an average cohort size of 25, that’s about 20 signatures per person, totally doable with some teamwork and hustle.

• Official bragging rights as the Best TLP Cohort of 2026 (until dethroned)
• Prizes, swag, and recognition at the May Graduation Ceremony
• Making a real difference in ensuring Michigan kids get the education and support they deserve
• Light refreshments provided!

📅 Kickoff Date: Wednesday, October 15th

• In-person Launch: 4:00 PM
• Follow-up Zoom Announcement: 6:00 PM
