Poling together as a community

My 20-year-old nephew, Kota Poling, suffered a major ischemic stroke to his brain stem on Oct. 11, 2024 that left him with Locked-In Syndrome. He has been between three different hospitals in Grand Rapids over the last year and the state of his health has been a rollercoaster. My sister Melissa hasn’t been able to work as she stays by his side, being his voice, caregiver, and advocate. We have hopes to raise enough money to assist her with bills so she can remain doing so.
We will be having a dinner, band, silent auction and bake sale. We hope to see you!
