Memorial for Unclaimed Neighbors

Join us for the second year as we honor those in our community who have been buried at the "unclaimed" section of Oakgrove Cemetery.

Please Note: The actual entrance to get to the cemetery is off Kalamazoo Avenue next to the McKay JayCee’s Park at

Look for the helpers out by the road to guide you through!

Hosted by Death Doula and Community Care Worker Sarah Sun, this event will be a tribute to those who we have buried. Listen to the history of the area, hear from funeral workers who do the after-care for folks buried here, groundskeepers who do the burials, and hear us speak neighbors names out loud.

If you have fresh flowers you'd like to place at the gravesites, please bring them! Ties wishes, prayers, spells, hopes & wishes on a new fruit tree being planted, and visit the new wind phone being installed.
