The Grand Rapids Women’s Chorus will be presenting their 29th Annual Spring Concert entitled “The Heart in Me” on Saturday, May 31 at 7:30pm and on Sunday June 1st at 3:00pm at St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids, MI.
Overcoming adversity and finding the strength to push through not only takes courage, but it takes heart. This concert celebrates our journey from self-discovery to empowerment, reminding us that our ancestors have struggled for centuries to make progress possible, in the face of many obstacles. "The Heart in Me" honors those struggles while inspiring us to be persistent in loving each other and continue the work of building welcoming and strong communities.
The concert program will feature a selection of powerful works, such as "Keep Marching" from The Suffs, "Song of Miriam" by Elaine Hagenberg, and "La Que Manda" by Gina Chavez.
The GRWC invites you to celebrate the strength of the human spirit, love, and unity.
Tickets are available using a sliding scale pricing model to accommodate all, and ASL interpretation will be provided.
