Do you write about movies somewhere online? Are you interested in learning more about film criticism? Are you on Letterboxd?
Join us for our film criticism workshop where local critic Joshua Polanski will introduce different approaches to film criticism and provide tips and strategies to improve your reviews before we workshop reviews together!
We will also discuss how to pitch publications and start getting published.
What you need to do: watch a movie, any movie(!), the night before the workshop and come prepared to brainstorm and write about it. If you take notes, even better!
This event is sponsored by the Midwest Film Journal. MFJ gladly invites interested writers to pitch relevant articles for consideration.
