Friday Night Reels--Sinners

Friday Night Reels is a weekly film series featuring notable and discussion-worthy movies across genres and eras. Our first screening is Sinners.

Regarded as one of the most compelling films of 2025, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is a thought-provoking horror film set in 1930s Mississippi. The story follows twin brothers, Smoke and Stack (both portrayed by Michael B. Jordan), who return home hoping to leave their past behind—only to encounter evils both supernatural and human. The film blends horror and historical drama, drawing on the emotional and musical power of the blues to explore themes of race, religion, and memory.

This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
