As many of you know, Hunter was recently involved in a serious accident and is currently at the Janeway with his family by his side.
This same family has already been walking a very difficult road. Megan welcomed her baby boy, Hudson, who had to be airlifted to the Janeway just hours after birth, where he remained for seven weeks. He was diagnosed with trisomy 21 and a heart condition called atrioventricular septal defect (AVSD). Since then, Hudson has needed regular visits to the Janeway for follow-ups with the Down Syndrome Society clinic and monitoring by the pediatric cardiology team.
Soon, Hudson will have to travel to Halifax for his upcoming open-heart surgery. How long he’ll need to remain there is still unknown, and the challenges this family is facing are enormous.
As a mother of a 14-year-old son myself, this cause is very near and dear to my heart. No parent should have to endure so much, and that’s why we’re coming together to support them.
We will be holding a Zumba Fundraiser in their honor, with all proceeds going directly to this family during their time of need. Entry will be by donation. 💜
👉 Our fundraiser theme will be Red & Blue ❤️💙 — his favorite colors — so come dressed in your brightest red and blue to show your support!
Let’s show him some Zumba love and fill up that gym.
