The 116th Bathurst Agricultural Show 2026 - Where Town and Country Meet
The Bathurst Agricultural Show takes place from 26–29 March 2026 and marks the 116th annual show — a long-standing Bathurst tradition that continues to bring town and country together.
The show offers a full programme across four days, with something happening in every corner of the grounds. Livestock remains at the heart of the event, with cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, ducks, and stock sales on show, alongside agricultural machinery, tractors, quads, tools, vehicles, and hands-on demonstrations.
A major highlight in 2026 will be the East Cape Boer Goat Championship, drawing top breeders from across the province and showcasing outstanding Boer goat bloodlines.
There’s plenty beyond the rings too. Visitors can expect a lively food court with easy, family-friendly options, festive pubs with live music, a bustling market, and a wide range of events and demonstrations, including sheepdog displays, equestrian showcases, classic cars, vintage tractors, lawnmower racing, and more (full programme to be announced).
The show is proudly family-friendly, with a dedicated Kidz Zone that’s professionally managed and designed to keep children entertained and engaged. This includes fun workshops, face painting, jumping castles, quad train rides, baby and toddler photo competitions, a kid-friendly menu, and even a water slide — so bring cozzies and towels. It’s a space where kids can have fun while parents relax and enjoy the rest of the show.
For adults looking to slow things down a little, Cask & Cuisine offers a relaxed escape under a large marquee and beautiful trees. With seating under cover and outdoors, visitors can enjoy wine, beer, gin and other tastings, along with artisanal foods such as breads, cheeses, olives, pestos, charcuterie, oysters, and organic produce. On Friday and Saturday evenings, a two-course dinner will be served by Chef Ray Hanekom-Barnard (bookings essential), adding a more refined but still relaxed experience to the show.
Another exciting addition for 2026 is the reopening of the Grand Exhibition Hall — a large indoor venue divided into three sections full of interesting and exciting things to see.
We look forward to welcoming families, farmers, exhibitors, and visitors of all ages in March 2026.
