For one night only, Chef Darleen will bring Rare’s iconic Blackstone grill to Ember Social, crafting an elevated steak course alongside a globally inspired menu designed for connection, conversation, and indulgence.
About Chef Darleen Vanmanivong
Chef Darleen Vanmanivong, a Lao-American culinary leader, was named Executive Chef of Rare Steakhouse Milwaukee in July 2025. Known for blending her cultural heritage with refined technique, she is redefining the steakhouse experience with a modern, globally inspired edge.
Her path to the kitchen began at Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta, followed by years honing her craft in acclaimed restaurants across Milwaukee, Colorado Springs, and Denver, with expertise in butchery, charcuterie, and fine dining. She has led kitchens such as The Edison and founded Thum, a Lao food concept honoring her late grandmother.
Chef Darleen is celebrated for her bold flavors, creative vision, and leadership style rooted in integrity, grit, and mentorship. At Rare, she brings purpose and passion to every plate — and on September 19, she’ll bring it all to Ember Social for a truly special dining experience.
