3 day basket weaving workshop

This is a 3 day basket weaving workshop in a bush setting about 10 minutes from Brooms head and the ocean.
You will learn:

Introduction to either coiling or twining technique
Introduction to fibre plants and hands on processing of a variety of fibres
Introduction to dying fibres and hands on dying of fibres
Introduction to string making and string fibres
How to finish baskets, rims and handles.

The cost for those 3 days is $390 which includes camping, dinners, teas and coffee, all the fibres and the teaching.
Your teachers are Vanessa Morris and Martina Driftwood who both have been weaving for years and are passionate about passing on the skills of basketweaving and how to start connecting back with the earth through that process.
The facilities for the workshop are a basic bushcamping setting for vans, trailers and tents, with a campkitchen and a communal area to share and to weave in, a composting toilet and a basic bush shower. Other accomodation is available in Mclean and Brooms Head.
