REFRAMING FUNERALS - free workshop
Funeral poverty is real. The issue
isn’t only cost — it’s the
assumption that funerals have
to be fully outsourced.
Many families feel overwhelmed when someone dies
because they’re unsure what must be done, what is
optional, and what can wait.
This workshop explores how funerals work in
practice, what families are rarely told, and how
families and communities can be more involved in
simple, grounded ways.
In this FREE workshop, we will explore:
• What families are legally allowed to do when someone dies
• How confidence, not money, shapes funeral experiences
• The role community can still play in caring for our dead
Presenter: Claire Hoffman (Deathcare Worker / Educator www.undertakinggrace.com.au )
