A 5 week SOMATIC SERIES online
Each person follows a set of patterns and behaviors that together create an algorithm for how they react, respond, and interact with their surroundings. Finding balance among the mind, body, spirit, and emotions is crucial for renewed vitality and awareness within a safe framework. This conscious understanding helps and guides the healing process.
In ancient tribal times, indigenous communities had tools to guide and heal their members by using wisdom from nature. In modern society, we have lost this connection to nature, ourselves, and each other. This workshop aims to restore this connection by guiding participants through the power of medicine wheels, as taught by the Twisted Hair Shamans of Turtle Island (North and South America) and African Medicine Wheel Astrology.
The series looks at how people face adversity, handle challenges, and eventually recover. Continuously revisiting personal stories rooted in shame and trauma can deepen these experiences. However, this program offers effective tools to change these stories into sources of strength. This process illustrates post-traumatic growth.
Humans are inherently connected—no one exists alone. The feeling of separation is a misconception, a concept closely related to the South African idea of Ubuntu: “I am because you are.” Humanity is fundamentally collective rather than individualistic. Our shared experiences shape our present, influence the future, and help heal past wounds.
This course is suitable for individuals dealing with ongoing fatigue from supporting others, struggling with personal boundaries, experiencing chronic pain, or wanting to break free from reactive patterns linked to past experiences.

Who Is This For?
This course is for individuals who want to develop greater self-awareness, promote physical healing, and regain their personal power. Participants will explore a unique mix of methods that combine modern research with traditional knowledge. The curriculum includes insights from fascia science, trauma-informed healing practices, and an understanding of the autonomic nervous system. Additionally, the course features trauma release exercises and elements of ancient shamanism, creating a holistic approach to transformation and empowerment.

Course Structure and Schedule
The teachings happen one evening each week over five weeks. This setup lets participants engage with the course content at a steady pace, allowing time for reflection and integration between sessions. Each weekly session builds on the last, supporting a cohesive and progressive learning experience.

Week 1: Returning to nature and the worlds of Grandmother Earth
• The Song of the 4 Directions Medicine Wheel: reconnecting to the Natural World
• Meeting your Natural Self: What is TRE and somatic experience
• Nervous system reset with TRE
Week 2: Understanding The Natural Self
• The Polyvagal Theory and the biology of the Vagus Nerve
• The Star Maidens Circle: Roots of an Ancient Psychology, a map of the human psyche
• Introduction to your personal algorithm and its effects on the nervous system
• Vagal reset through sound, movement, voice, and TRE
Week 3: How we play out our Shadow and Illusion
• The Victim and Co-dependency
• Identifying the shadow: negative self-beliefs, self-sabotage, and reactivity
• The Blocks to Maturation Wheel
• Vagal reset through sound, movement, voice, and TRE
Week 4: Choosing our Focus and Its Links to Our Health
• The focus sphere and how to creatively move from shadow to light using African Medicine Wheel Astrology
• Co-Empowerment and Creation
• Fascial Health and the 4 elements
• The role of the psoas muscle in trauma, emotions, and pain
• Reset with TRE and psoas release technique
Week 5: Self-Empowerment: A gathering together
• Inner power sphere • Self-worth sphere
• Reflections on the past 5 weeks
• Reset with TRE, movement, and sound
Course Details:
5 Weekly Sessions (3 hrs each)
Online Times 6pm to 9pm South African Time
You’ll need: a yoga mat, a journal, art supplies, and a stable internet connection.
