Never Just I By Evie Demetriou
Returning to celebrate the festival’s 10th anniversary, Never Just I is a fearless, humorous, and deeply human solo performance that blends contemporary dance with spoken text.
Confessional and raw, the work explores womanhood, motherhood, vulnerability, and resilience. Drawing from her own life as a mother of three and an artist inhabiting many roles, Evie Demetriou invites audiences into an intimate space where fragility meets strength, humour meets honesty, and the personal becomes political.
Never Just I is more than a solo, it is an act of resistance, a celebration of agency, and an invitation to reimagine togetherness.
