We are gathered around the rock in the forest, holding hands, holding our breath
This performance is following our story through different acts. We are seated at the table, breaking bread, listening to Skogen, relying on the Rock who is amidst of us
Who are we, how did we get here
We don’t know how it started, we don’t know how it ends
What we are present to is this
This performance is the third season in the series Roots of Skogen. The aim of these performances is to use the tool of performative practice to provide different perspectives on the processes within the organisation of Skogen. Specifically the processes that are underlying, so called the roots, but are carriers for knowledge and communication even though not directly visible to the eye.
In this third Roots of Skogen I am looking at the power of gathering and collaboration. You could consider this performance as a ceremony that invites into deeper collaboration, positioning and pointing out opportunities to strengthen our communities, organisations, culture and art field.
Bio:
Patricia (Dutch, based in Gothenburg) is working with performative art and graphic design. She often mixes several media; narrative voice, sound, video, sculptures, movement. All her performances are deriving from the very first one she made (Original Position 2015) as a source code, so that her works keep evolving from out of each other, reoccurring fragments and references from the previous ones. She holds a BA in design and a MA in Contemporary Performative Arts. She as well is currently the director of Skogen and has been involved in the organisation for seven years. Recently she has enrolled a course in organisation consultancy. Patricia's fields of theoretical and practical interest are in restoring relationship with our Earth, understanding alternative ways of being in communion and collaboration. She is also active in developing Samarbetet, a proposal to strengthen self organisation and promote cultural shifting into kinship living.

Vi samlas runt stenen i skogen, håller varandra i händerna och håller andan
Föreställningen följer vår historia genom olika akter. Vi sitter vid bordet, bryter bröd, lyssnar på Skogen och förlitar oss på Stenen som finns mitt ibland oss

Det vi är närvarande i är detta
Denna föreställning är den tredje säsongen i serien Roots of Skogen. Syftet med dessa föreställningar är att använda performativ praktik som verktyg för att ge olika perspektiv på processerna inom organisationen Skogen. Specifikt de processer som ligger under, de så kallade rötterna, som är bärare av kunskap och kommunikation även om de inte är direkt synliga för ögat.
I denna tredje Roots of Skogen tittar jag på kraften i att samlas och samarbete. Du kan betrakta denna föreställning som en ceremoni som inbjuder till djupare samarbete och positionering och som pekar på möjligheter att stärka våra samhällen, organisationer, liksom kulturen och konstfältet.
Bio:
Patricia (holländska, bosatt i Göteborg) arbetar med performativ konst och grafisk design. Hon blandar ofta flera medier: berättarröst, ljud, video, skulpturer, rörelse. Alla hennes performance utgår från den allra första hon gjorde (Original Position 2015) som en källkod, så att hennes verk fortsätter att utvecklas ur varandra, med återkommande fragment och referenser från de tidigare. Hon har en kandidatexamen i design och en masterexamen i samtida performativ konst. Hon är också för närvarande verksamhetsledare för Skogen och har varit engagerad i organisationen i sju år. Nyligen har hon påbörjat en utbildning i organisationskonsultation. Patricias teoretiska och praktiska intressen ligger i att återställa relationen till vår jord och förstå alternativa sätt att leva i gemenskap och samarbete. Hon är också aktiv i utvecklingen av Samarbetet, ett förslag för att stärka självorganisering och främja en kulturell övergång till att leva i en djupare relation till vår omvärld.
