AOOA Artist-in-Residence Show 2025

You're invited to celebrate the culmination of our 2025 Artist-in-Residence Program!

Come see the inspiring work of resident artists Heather Sloan, Amy Lewis Sweetman, and Tricia Zeitler showcasing the creative journeys and outcomes of their time in residence.Artwork will be available for purchase.

At AOOA, our work extends beyond the fields and kitchen and encompasses a vibrant community of individuals passionate about the interplay between nature, agriculture, art, and activism. We invite all who share our enthusiasm for exploring biodiverse and productive landscapes to join us!

Heather Sloan has been spinning for over 35 years and knitting for over 50. Located Blooming Grove, Heather is the owner of Handknit Handwoven where she sells beautifully crafted pieces. She also teaches knitting and spinning private lessons for those interested in more advanced techniques.

Amy Lewis Sweetman is the founder of AGRISCULPTURE : Farm Equipment - Lovingly Rethought, a design practice launched in 2012 that blends nature, agriculture, architecture and the arts. From her studio on Sweetman’s Dairy Farm in Warwick, NY, she creates metal sculptures using repurposed farm equipment to raise awareness about environmental restoration.

Tricia Zeitler, a resident of Goshen, studied fine arts and interior design, which laid the foundation for her artistic journey. Since 2021, Tricia has been focusing on fine art oil painting. During her residency, she will immerse herself in the serene beauty of the farm through her oil paintings. Her work will capture the landscapes, animals, flowers, and everyday moments around the farm, bringing the essence of nature to canvas.

This exhibition is an opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind art pieces and support local art and agriculture. A portion of the proceeds from art sales will be graciously donated to AOOA, contributing to our continued growth as a nurturing space for both art and agriculture.

Admission is free, but please sign up in advance! Open to all ages.

Stop by anytime from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, and join us in celebrating our artists!

Exhibits open at 12:00pm.
