Make Your Own Mushroom Jar Workshop

Join Saf for a creative and eco-friendly Mushroom Jar Workshop!
In this hands-on session, Saf will guide you through crafting your own mushroom-themed jar using air-dry clay and recycled materials. Perfect for storing trinkets or gifting as a thoughtful, handmade Christmas gift.

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced crafters.

Event length: 1 session, Tuesday 9 December, 10 am - 2.00 pm (approx)

Meet at: Gosforth Nature Reserve entrance, NZ 25998 69900, W3W: inch.caring.gave.

Event cost: £15

Most materials will be provided, but please bring:

• A small glass jar (pesto or similar size works best)
• Some thin cardboard (cereal box or amazon card works great)
• A container or small box to carry your artwork home
• A rolling pin or an empty glass bottle to use as a rolling pin (Saf will have a few spares but can’t bring many!)
• Your lunch! :)

This event is indoors in a wheelchair accessable venue. Kitchen (kettle and microwave) and toilet facilities available. Portable heaters are available but please note that the Field Studies Room can get cold in winter so please dress warm and cosy.

Safia Badawi studies Ancient History at Newcastle University, although is a lifelong lover of biology and art. She enjoys blending both passions to create nature-inspired pieces full of character.
