Silent Book Club

This will be the first meeting of the new Silent Book Club! Come join us in reading in companionable silence – whether you are trying to make time to get back into novels, or you are studying for a big test coming up, sometimes it’s nice to be around other people while you all meet your goals together, even if you don’t talk. Call it body doubling, or accountability buddies, or just keeping each other company, but I think it sounds nice. Sometimes I just want to be around other people, but I don’t want to be distracted from the plot of my book. So let’s give it a try, and meet on the 4th Tuesday each month, at 5pm.

There is no set book for us all to read, so you can bring your current read, or pick out a new one while you’re here at the library! There is room for chatting, if you want, during the first and last few minutes of the club, but the main part is reserved for independent reading.
