A beautiful 2 hours of very relaxing and slow paced session of yoga practice incorporating elements of gentle yin, restorative yoga and yoga nidra. Thought by Blanka, a qualified yoga teacher and a member of Yoga Alliance Professionals. This session will be held at the National Waterways Museum.
First part of the session will focus on breathing techniques and a slow paced warm up, followed by yin, then restorative yoga and finally yoga nidra.
Yin poses help us release physical tension and unblock stagnant energy accumulating in our bodies. Apart from promoting flexibility, it increases joint flexibility, slows the mind down, improves the flow of prana (life force), reduces stress and anxiety, opens up energy channels in the body and many more.
Restorative yoga is a restful practice which encourages physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It is all about slowing down and opening our bodies through passive stretching. It helps the body rest, heal and restore balance.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation which promotes deep rest and relaxation. This practice also helps quiet the mind and create a state of inner peace.
All equipment (mats, bolsters, blankets, straps, blocks and eye pillows) for this session is provided, but feel free to bring anything else you might need.
