Glossop Cinema Club Presents: The People's Joker (2022) at The Globe, Glossop

A superhero parody film that stood up to the might of a legal challenge and won its "fair use" law-suit to spoof the likes of Batman and company.

Winkingly called "the best superhero movie I've ever seen" by The New Yorker, and also a "a blasphemous Molotov cocktail of a movie" by Polygon, this is a truly unique and contemporary riff on superheroes, as well as a poignant coming-of-age story, but also pretty darn hilarious too!

Alongside the film there will be the usual Glossop Cinema Club malarkey, including an intro, prizes, and short films.
