Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light are a Boston-based string band making music that blends folk tradition with feminist storytelling, poetic detail, and just enough grit. Their sound is spare and intimate, sometimes eerie, sometimes sweet, always intentional. The band has toured coast to coast, performing at the Library of Congress, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Caffe Lena, Club Passim. The band is Rachel Sumner/vocals, acoustic guitar, Kat Wallace/vocals, fiddle, and Mike Siegel/vocals, upright bass.
