Presenter, Donna Stressel from the Driver Rehabilitation Program at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital joins us at The Conkling Center for the first time to share how the ability to drive safely is important in order to remain independent and connected in social activities. This presentation will discuss how drivers can maximize their driving fitness and safety. Learn how the following can affect driving safety. Facts about aging and driving, medical conditions and medications, physical and mental activity and exercise, safety habits and driving strategies, Fitting the car to the driver, Highway design and vehicle technology, deciding when it is time to quit.
