On Saturday, October 4, 2025, something special is happening in Glenpool. Glenpool Animal Control and Shelter is joining forces with VFW Post 9126 to bring you the Shelter Pets2Vets Adoption Event—a day dedicated to second chances.

From 10 AM to 2 PM at 141st St. & Elwood, you’ll meet dogs and cats who have been waiting for someone to believe in them. And you’ll see how one simple choice—bringing a pet home—can change a life.

For our veterans, it’s even more meaningful. Thanks to the Friends of Glenpool Shelter’s Pets2Vets Campaign, and the generosity of our community, adoption fees for veterans are fully sponsored. Because those who have served deserve the healing that only a loyal companion can bring.
