Tomato, Veggie & Herb Gardening (Glendale)

Join us to learn how to grow your own fall Tasty Garden filled with fresh, flavorful veggies and herbs. In this class, we’ll cover everything you need to know for success, including planting from seed or starts, selecting the right varieties, timing, placement, and the importance of soil health and preparation. You’ll also learn about pest management, companion planting, succession planting, fertilizing, watering, and more. Whether you’re looking for the tastiest tomatoes, the healthiest herbs, or a garden grown with organic methods, this class will give you the tools and confidence to enjoy your most delicious fall harvest yet.

No registration required. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis in our air-conditioned classroom.

About our instructor: "My name is Tyler, and for the past six years at SummerWinds, I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in the world of gardening, a passion that has brought me immense joy and fulfillment. My journey into gardening began later in life, at the age of 29, with a humble onion that sprouted unexpectedly in my kitchen. When I decided to plant it and watched it bloom into a stunning flower, I was instantly hooked. That moment sparked a deep, enduring love for gardening within me, and every day since then has been a celebration of that newfound passion."
