The Anvil Brothers, with Special Guest Andrea Larson open the 24th season at the Shady Grove Coffeehouse with a performance on September 13, 2025, beginning at 7:30 PM (doors at 7:00 PM). The band, comprised of multi-instrumentalists, is known for their progressive acoustic music, which spans genres like folk, country, blues, and rock and roll. The Anvil Brothers will perform a mix of their original songs from their album, Little Stories, as well as new music from their upcoming release. The setlist will also include covers of popular artists like Bob Dylan, Chris Stapleton, and The Beatles.
In addition to Special Guest Andrea Larson on fiddle, the Anvil Brothers are Aaron Jonas (bass), Dan Gillespie (keyboards, vocals, harmonica), Donnie Durham (banjo, dobro, vocals), Doug Hepler (guitar, mandolin, vocals), and Jim Mohr (mandolin, violin, guitar, vocals).
The Shady Grove Coffeehouse is located at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church, 11105 Cauthorne Road in Glen Allen. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door.
