Fellow Corner Carvers! In SEVA, there are many roads that we drive on. Most of them, however, are straight and boring with lots of traffic and construction! In all this area does great at stripping away the enjoyment we seek with our Mustangs.
Well, this cruise is not one of just droning down a highway. It is one in which we will avoid highways as much as possible as our Mustangs cruise down the backroads from Shorty's Diner in Yorktown, VA to Ford's garage just north of Richmond.
So how will we get there? Good question! Once we leave Shorty's Diner, we will travel north on 17 over the Coleman Memorial Bridge in which we will eventually transition over to some more scenic roads for the rest of the route.
Schedule:
- 8am: Shorty's Diner: 6500 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA 23692-2168
1.5 hours prior to cruise start. Grab some breakfast and admire some Mustangs that roll in.
- 9:30am: Start cruise
Anticipated 3:30 cruise. Midway stop to allow for a break and stretch. Some of our cars may not be as comfy.
- 1pm: Arrival at Ford's Garage: 11275 W Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060
Important Notes:
- This cruise will be at least 3 hours and over 100 miles.
- Coleman Bridge does have a toll. Plan accordingly
- This will be a cruise and not a race. It is expected that all participating in the cruise will follow Virginia's highway and safety laws.

Q: What if I, or a buddy of mine wants to participate?
A: Although I would like to keep it Mustang specific, other makes and models may also join as well!
Q: I'm running late but want to catch up! Or I am looking to meet up as you cruise your route How will I know where to go or meet up?
A: A map showing the route will be posted soon. Will also post where the midway stop will be as well if you want to join but not drive all the way down to Shorty's Diner.
Q: I have morning plans but still want to meet up at Ford's Garage. Is this possible?
A: Sure! The anticipated time for arrival at Ford's Garage is at 1pm. Look forward to seeing you there!
