Glastonbury Abbey & Town Guided Tour

Glastonbury Abbey had great influence on the emerging town of Glastonbury and the surrounding landscape. This specialist tour will be led by one the abbey’s learning team members and will last between 90 minutes and 2 hours. We will walk around the town visiting places which were built by or were closely connected to the abbey, whist discussing their history and relationship.

The tour will start and finish in the Glastonbury Abbey Museum and then move outside to the streets and pavements of the town, this will involve road crossings, slopes and we shall be standing or walking throughout. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and check the weather conditions on the day, prior to attending the tour.

Please meet in the abbey museum in plenty of time for the start of the tour at 11.00am.
