Join us at Abbey House for an immersive workshop in Cold Process Soap Making. Priced at £55 and limited to just 10 participants per session, this hands-on experience is perfect for enthusiasts of natural skincare, eco-conscious individuals looking to reduce plastic waste, or anyone seeking a fulfilling new hobby. Led by expert instructor Sarah Ward, this introductory workshop delves into the time-honoured method of crafting hair and body soap using only the finest natural ingredients.
During the session, participants will learn the science and history behind soap making, while also learning crucial safety procedures and equipment handling. Dive deep into the skin-nourishing properties of raw ingredients, explore the art of incorporating botanicals, clays, and essential oils, and master the delicate balance of choosing and blending scents.
You will take home a generous loaf of soap, yielding approximately eight bars, alongside a comprehensive workbook brimming with recipes and valuable insights for future endeavours.
All materials and equipment are provided. Simply come equipped with an apron, a cardboard box, and an old beach towel or blanket to transport your creations home.
Abbey House is not open to the general public and only those with a ticket to the workshop can be admitted into the grounds. Tickets are not refundable or transferrable to another activity or event. Strictly no dogs or other animals.
