Budding Naturalists - Fall 2025

Get ready for hands-on, nature-filled fun for our littlest explorers! Join Riverbend educator, Felicia Acconciamessa, for a preschool-friendly, nature-based program that includes a story, art, nature activity, and a “hike” around our preserve.

This season, we'll dive into messy pumpkin play, gently meet animal friends, use our hands to build spiders and explore the magic of webs, mix and swirl nature potions and so much more! We'll crunch through leaves, make colorful rubbings, and wander together on sweet and simple scavenger hunts. Every session is full of wonder, movement, and hands-on fun made for curious minds!

Every week we’ll gather in Riverbend’s Farmhouse to begin the fun.

Program Details:

This program is designed for children ages 2-5. A caregiver must accompany each child. Siblings under 2 are welcome at no additional charge.

NEW for Fall 2025 - we're sprouting two time slots! Whether you have an early bird or an afternoon adventurer, there's room to explore and grow here on Riverbend's preserve.

Fall Sessions will be offered Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am October 8, 2025 through December 3, 2025 with no class on Wednesday, November 26th and on Thursday afternoons at 2:00 pm from October 9, 2025 through December 4, 2025 with no class on Thursday, November 27th. Choose the perfect time - Wednesday mornings or Thursday afternoons. No need to join both, just choose the one that fits best.

The cost is $160 per child for each eight-week session. Space is limited as enrollment is capped at 12 participants per session.

The final meeting of our Fall session will include a campfire and s’mores.
