Helge Track, Glenluce - Gisborne Bushwalking Club

Hike Helge Track to Porcupine Ridge Road to Wewak Track. Following Drummond Vaughan Road back to the start of Helge Track.

Glenluce is a rolling hills area of micro farms, camping and hiking areas. Beautiful natural forest untouched by mining, development or, dumping! Starting at Helge Track, you will be amazed at how pure the air is and how naturally formed the forest is.

Easy seven or so gentle climbs the paths are clay, road gravel, and packed dirt. As we traverse into Wewak Track, the forest is comprised of gentle mosses, beautiful grasses, youngish trees and little evidence of burnings. The hiking is easy, climbing to the road. Hike in the forest alongside the Drummond Vaughan Road back to the Helge Track turn-off. A few wallabies, kangaroos, and many flocks of birds.

Distance: 11km. Grade 3.
