Level 1 Avalanche Course – Hosted by Alaska Avalanche School
Take your winter travel skills to the next level with the Level 1 Avalanche Course, hosted by the Alaska Avalanche School from December 27–29, 2025, with sessions running daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Turnagain Pass. This 3-day course combines classroom learning with hands-on field practice to teach terrain recognition, snowpack evaluation, risk management, and rescue fundamentals—essential knowledge for anyone exploring avalanche terrain.
