This past April, Anna was diagnosed with stage IV inflammatory breast cancer—a rare and aggressive form of the disease. She is currently receiving hormone and targeted therapies, and in a true miracle, her most recent PET scan showed a complete metabolic response. While this is incredible news, Anna’s fight is far from over.
In October, Anna will travel to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for more scans. If the results remain positive, she is tentatively scheduled for a total mastectomy on October 30. About a month later, she will begin four weeks of radiation, twice a day. During this time, Anna will be unable to work, and her husband will need to take nearly a month off work as they travel back and forth to the Cleveland Clinic every day for treatments.
Through it all, Anna has remained strong, positive, and inspiring—continuing to show up for everyone else even while fighting her own battle. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her. Let’s come together to help relieve some of the burden and remind Anna that she is not fighting alone! 🩷
