Whether you just unwrapped a brand-new 3D printer for Christmas or you already have one and want to build your skills, this class is the perfect place to start. Our instructors will guide you through the essential first steps of 3D printing so you can set up your machine with confidence and begin creating your own custom designs.
Participants must bring a laptop with their printer’s slicer software already installed OR know the brand and model of the 3D printer they plan to connect to. This allows us to help you with the exact settings and workflow your machine needs.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn:
• How 3D printers work and what to expect during setup
• How to prepare and slice files for successful printing
• Tips for troubleshooting common beginner issues
• How to use TinkerCAD to design and customize your very first project
• Best practices for filament handling, leveling, calibration, and safe operation
