Youth Group

We have an exciting year coming up!!! We welcome all High School aged students from the Benld / Gillespie area. You don’t have to be Catholic to attend.

Group sessions start Sunday Sep 7th and continue to meet on Sundays through the school year. There is no requirement for youth to be at every session but we would love to see you as often as possible.

We will meet from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Youth Group room in Ss Simon and Jude school building, Gillespie.

We will have food and drinks at every event and we will have opportunities to play games/activities.

Youth group is intentionally open to others as a means to encourage young adults to grow in faith.

Youth group is a combination of utilizing Quick Lessons with Fr. Mike Schmitz of Ascension Presents, discussing and encouraging Christian beliefs in dealing with current issues that students are facing personally and in the world. We plan several trips to visit different sites and events within the region from St. Louis to Springfield. As well this year we plan on attending the Steubenville Youth conference in Steubenville, Ohio.

The Youth Group will also have several opportunities for service hours.
