Good day Racers,
It’s time to dust off those birds and come race for the Cash in Gila Bend, Arizona. We have just received approval from Gila Bend’s City Council to hold this year’s event at their local airport (E63). This is the same airport we raced at, in October 2021. We stopped by the airport on Tuesday and learned that Corey, the airport Manager, has removed the famous tree line located on the East side of the runway.
This year’s race will be held October 23 through the 26th and will be even bigger! We already have over
$15,000.00 in CASH for the payouts in five classes. The Classes we will run this year will be Mini-Unlimited (a new USRA class), Formula 1 GT, Formula 1 Pro, Unlimited Gas, and Unlimited. We will need at least 5 entries to run a class. Information on the Mini-Unlimited class will be forthcoming, as we still need to finalize the rules and race course specifics.
All Racers racing at this event will need to be current members of the USRA ($50.00) and entries for all classes will be $100.00 each class entered. We will be sending out additional e-mails to update you on motels and restaurants, etc. as information comes available.
Now you can save money, earn money, and help Giant Scale Racing, all at the same race.
1. Simple, just bring a racer who hasn’t raced Giant Scale in the past 2 years to the race and both of you save
%50 off your entry fee!!!! Or introduce a new racer to our exciting sport and you both will get %50 off your entry. (Limit 1 discount per racer new or previous).
2. Polish up your pylon skills, make the finals and take home a share of the cash!!!!! We will post the class breakdown in Cash in the coming days. We will also have Round 3 heat cash for the heat winners in each class.
3. How to Help GSR? It will take all of us to get the sport we love back to the days of the past. We had a good start at Mojave last year, now let’s double or triple the entries for this year. Just think
about it, if each entry from last year just brought 1 more entry, we would have more than 40 entries this year.!!!! Why stop at 1, bring 2
