WORKSHOP Painting with Texture: Techniques & Tools

Unleash your creativity and bring your paintings to life through texture! In this engaging, hands-on class, you'll explore how to use a variety of tools and techniques to create original, textured artwork that’s uniquely your own.

Through a series of fun and accessible exercises, you'll learn to:

• Experiment with different materials to build texture
• Use unexpected tools for surprising effects
• Develop your own visual language through surface exploration
• Understand how texture impacts composition and depth

By the end of the course, you’ll complete a finished piece and gain the confidence to incorporate texture into your future work. Perfect for artists of all levels who want to push their creative boundaries and explore new ways of making art.

A minimum of 5 students is required to run the workshop; refunds if cancelled.

There will be a lunch break from Noon to 12:30 pm. Please bring your own lunch!

Ages 18+ ONLY. ALL skill levels are welcome.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Janice's paintings and drawings have been exhibited throughout the United States and Canada. Her work can be found in private collections and commercial spaces in the United States, Canada and Europe. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Janice now lives and works in the Pacific Northwest in Olalla, Washington.
