The Gig Harbor Plant Swap allows free gardener-to-gardener sharing of free plants, plantlets, seeds, cuttings, divisions, etc as well as accessories, tools, and other gardening-related materials. The plant swap occurs 4X/year on "Second Saturdays" in January, April, June, and September 10a-11a.
At the plant swaps, bring something to offer up even if it's cookies or candy or small tip-sized envelopes for the seed collectors to use. At the events, we lay out our items on the pavement behind our vehicles (at the outdoor swaps) or on the tables (at the January indoor swap) and then walk around collecting what we want from other people's items.
ALSO, we encourage people to use the Facebook group page as a place to trade or give/take freebies in between the 4X/year formal swaps. So if there's something you've been wanting, just post that onto our the Gig Harbor Plant Swap page and see if something magical happens!!
