9 to 5 The Musical

East Bay Theatre will be closing out its season with the hit show 9 to 5 The Musical on May 1 – 3 2025. Based on the 1980 hit movie starring Dolly Parton Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda 9 to 5 The Musical opened on Broadway in 2008. Dolly Parton wrote all the music and lyrics for all the songs in the show.  

The storyline follows the movie where we see Doralee Violet and Judy working in an office for the overbearing boss Franklin Hart. The women are mistreated and taken advantage of. A series of “mishaps” find them kidnapping their boss. While the office is free from the villainous Mr Hart we see the trio take charge and make changes.
