"In every walk with nature one receives far more than they seek."
-John Muir, Scottish-American Naturalist, Author, Environmental Philosopher, “Father of the National Parks”
Mindfulness is simply a practice of paying attention. And the natural world gives us plenty to pay attention to. Join us to explore simple, accessible mindfulness practices in the heart of Adams County at a pre-civil war farm along Marsh Creek. Wake up along with the call of the birds, the late summer dew, the fresh air and the connection of mindful community. See schedule below.
August 3- FREE INTRO TO MINDFULNESS SESSION- 6-7:30 pm at Phoenix Wellness Center Meditation Garden.
August 10- Mindfulness in Movement- a practice inspired by Shin-Rin Yoku or "Forest Bathing"
August 17- Inviting Stillness- a guided seated, reclined or standing meditation practice
August 24- Floating and Flowing- a mindfulness practice inspired by the water (weather-dependent: possibility of gentle paddling on kayak or paddle board for those who choose)
Location of August 10-24 sessions is within a few miles of the studio at the private property of a member of our RISE community. Specific address will be provided upon registration.
Registration is $60/person and includes all 3 sessions plus free bonus intro session on August 3. Reimbursement will not be provided for missed sessions. Pre-registration is required. All are welcome!! No background experience required.
All sessions will require some walking through the woods. Bug repellent, walking shoes and comfortable layers are encouraged.
