MORE ABOUT THE MUSICIANS
The Hodis Brothers have been playing together since they were kids, and it shows. Bar (a member of the folk trio) on acoustic guitar and harmonica, Ofek on piano and keys, and they both sing — often with harmonies that only come from growing up under the same roof. Their set mixes familiar covers with a few of their own tunes, leaning into the sounds of 60s folk, blues, and rock & roll.
You’ll hear echoes of Simon & Garfunkel and The Beatles in what they do, but always with their own lively style. Bar keeps things grounded with his guitar, and Ofek articulates and fills out the sound with his keys. Together, they keep songs fresh, interesting, and unique
Isaac Ash - A tapestry of lyrics and tunes - With a passion for poetry and song, Isaac Ash composes music and covers classics. Rocking the dance halls and concert venues from an early age, Isaac brings a rich and varied tapestry to his music.
He was drafted into the IDF and was recruited into the “Lahkat Svai”, the Army entertainment unit - Central corps, where he sang and performed with the band throughout Israel and Lebanon. He won the Tel Aviv University Talent contest as well as the Israel TV Talent show in the ‘80s singing both in Hebrew and English. This was followed with a collaboration on a Guy Meroz album. He also collaborated with Dorit Reuveni in her production of ‘Greenfields’ where they released an album and performed all over Israel as well as on TV for around 3 years. Isaac also performed with his brother David Ash all over Israel covering folk rock favorites.
Isaac runs an international freight forwarding company and in his spare time composes music and records songs and music that reflect life and soul. Music is his passion, and it shows in his lifelong love affair with lyrics and tunes.
Jeremy Segal was in his first band, “The Segal Family 4”, with his mother and 2 sisters at the age of 6, singing mainly Peter Paul & Mary songs. He grew up singing harmonies, and enjoys playing and singing Bluegrass, Americana, Folk/Rock and other types of songs. Particular interests are songs by great songwriters like John Prime, Tom Waits, Hank Williams, Laurie Lewis and many you probably never heard of before!
Karen Or-Paz - An amateur musician that will perform her own material, as well as other well known, or not-so-well known songs by female singer-songwriters from different places, in different languages, depicting women’s views on war, love, loss and beauty
