Sharan's Oil Painting 5 week Workshop

Every TUESDAY from 9 AM to Noon, starting September 2nd through the 30th, Sharan will lead a five-week course focused on building foundational oil painting skills. Whether you’re just getting started or refining your technique, this series is designed to help you understand the "why" and "how" behind your tools and strokes.

“You’ll understand the why and how of what you are doing with your tools,” says Sharan. “Then you’ll be ready to tackle your own ideas.”

Each week features a specific artistic focus through a complete painting:

Week 1: September 2nd Form – Paint a still life of pottery to explore shape and structure

Week 2: September 9th Depth – Create a scenic bridge painting while learning perspective

Week 3: September 16th Motion – Dive into ocean waves and techniques for fluidity

Weeks 4 & 5: September 23rd & 30th Integration – Paint a horse and rider, combining everything you’ve learned

This progressive approach ensures that each new skill builds on the last, giving you both confidence and a creative toolkit. The course is $30 per week, plus a $5 supply fee, and is open to all levels.
